Do you have an awesome daddy? Don’t buy her another tie, buy her something cool and unique this year.
We chatted with our friend, stylist and personal shopper Marv Neal (he prefers to be known as a style curator). He is known to assemble clothes for runways, films and print jobs. It also has its own style imprint, Jeans jeans that reuses denim to fit a high fashion aesthetic.
We asked Neal where to find a great gift for the trendy Detroit daddy.
While Neal is an expert at styling women, as a man he has a personal vision of what it takes to make men look sexy. For him, styling men is more of a mystique. “Men are more beautiful when their look gives off an air of nonchalance,” he said, “whether it’s a suit or a polo shirt, having a piece that doesn’t match or fits. markdown exudes a relaxed freshness ”.

Clothing store Trois Treize
19507 Livernois Ave., Detroit, 48221
Clement “Fame” Brown, Jr., has dreamed and designed clothes since he was a child. He launched Three Thirteen in 2009 and the brand exploded despite all the obstacles encountered. Three Thirteen opened on Avenue de la Mode in 2019 amid a massive renovation of Avenue Livernois, and the big construction project didn’t kill his business, but it was quickly followed by the coronavirus pandemic.
Yet Fame persevered.
Three Thirteen is nicknamed “Detroit’s Brand Name,” and the store features original designs and some from emerging brands that Brown is committed to supporting through cooperative sales agreements. The store has expanded to a new location in Parker’s Alley and continues to offer great clothes and plenty of gifts for Dad. Try their candles, their socks or you can even work with Fame to buy Pops an old school custom super car.
