Boulder’s Best: Five Great Places to Shop for Antiques

Boulder City is a place of many destinations.

People visit the city to eat in restaurants, participate in special events, learn about history and enjoy small town life. They also come to buy antiques in one of the many shops in town.

To help shoppers unearth vintage and collectibles, the Boulder City Review has compiled a list, in no particular order, of some of the best Dam antique stores in town.

Emporium of Goat Feathers,

1300 Wyoming Street

This store has two floors of wall-to-wall antiques, rare gifts and other items for sale from different vendors. It also offers books, clothing, vinyl records, furniture, kitchenware, glassware, and handmade items.

“We have new items (and) handcrafted antiques,” said Margene West of Goatfeathers. “I think that’s why we are doing pretty well because there is such variety. “

West said the company had been in Boulder City for about 20 years. It is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week.

Vintage Boulder,

508 California Avenue

The Boulder Vintage features seasonal decor, scented candles and antiques.

“I try to stay seasonal,” said owner Glena Dunn. “It’s a mix of really unique antiques. I try to keep it pretty.

Dunn said she does this by changing the store’s displays every week.

She started the business in December as a pop-up Christmas market, then revamped it in January.

Boulder Vintage is currently open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and she said she hoped to extend her hours of operation during the holiday season.

Bella Market,

1212 Wyoming Street

Bella Marketplace is a large antique store stocked with items for sale from different vendors. It’s like going on a treasure hunt with new finds around every corner.

The 9,000 square foot store also offers craft supplies and offers DIY painting classes. In addition, it offers courses on finishing and enhancing old furniture.

It is open from 10 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. Monday to Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
