How To Get More DIY Cooking Recipes

Animal Crossing: The new Hozions 2.0 update offers the ability to cook dozens of new dishes. Unlocking all recipes will take a bit of research.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ A massive 2.0 update has been released which includes all new features including the ability to cook a large number of recipes. These new foods and drinks can be crafted after players unlock the DIY + expansion of the DIY app, which can be purchased at Nook Stop for 2,000 miles. Players will need to go to a kitchen to cook any of the available recipes, just as they will need to be at a workbench to create DIY projects.

As with the previous DIY recipes in Animal crossing, the end product increases the value of the items used to make it. A cherry smoothie, for example, takes two cherries to make and sells for 300 bells; on an island with cherries as the starting fruit, two are worth 200 bells at Nook’s Cranny. There are 50 recipes that players can learn through the Write a cookbook? milestones in the Nook Miles app, and each will reward a certain number of Nook Miles. This can mean that players can assume that they have collected all of the Animal Crossing: New Horizons cooking recipes once they have discovered 50 dishes, but this is not yet confirmed.

Players wishing to extend their cookbook further in Animal Crossing: New Horizons will want to purchase Nook’s Cranny’s Cabinet Basic Cooking Recipes DIY Pack for 4,980 Bells. This pack teaches six other savory recipes and two sweet recipes. This second set of purchasable recipes includes:

Players can find other recipes written in the familiar message bottles that will wash up on their shores twice a day, or possibly drop gifts carried across their island by balloons.
