Children’s screen confirmed that the APAC Children’s Officer Leslie Lee is leaving his post as part of a post-merger reorganization in the India, Southeast Asia and Korea division of Warner Bros. Discovery.

It will be replaced by Christopher Ho (pictured), who becomes the network’s Senior Director, Children’s Content for Southeast Asia and Korea. Ho previously reported to Lee and oversaw Cartoon Network and Boomerang in Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Korea. He joined WarnerMedia last year after working for more than a decade at Disney as director of cross-platform programming services, and before that he was head of programming at HBO Asia.

A former executive director of Disney Networks, Lee joined WarnerMedia APAC as vice president of children’s content in 2019. During his tenure, he orchestrated the regional launch of preschool block Cartoonito; ran kidsnets POGO, Cartoon Network and Boomerang; and led several new local originals through production, including Emmy-nominated series lampout (Cartoon Network and Vaibhav Studios) and Hi-Tech Animation’s The Pandavas and Ekans—Ek Se Badhkar Serpent.

Clement Schwebig, WBD’s president for India, Southeast Asia and Korea, announced the children’s team change as part of an internal memo to staff today.

Lee’s departure follows several others that came in the wake of the US$40 billion merger of WarnerMedia and Discovery in April. Most notably, Children’s, Young Adults and Classics President Tom Ascheim announced his departure in May. And Polly Cochrane, WarnerMedia EVP and country manager for the UK and Ireland, came out around the same time.
