Today (Sunday February 28) is the last day for you to make nominations for Michigan’s Best Fish Fry.
In case you missed it, we had over 275 nominations in the first 24 hours after announcing our search for Michigan’s Best Fish Fry Last week. They came from all over the state, from the classic Lenten Fish Fry to bars and restaurants known for making excellent dinners of perch, pollock, walleye and even smelt.
Obviously, we’ve gone way over that number this morning, but we still want to give you one last chance before we open our polls on Tuesday, and you can start voting for your favorites. (Please use the “official” form below to make your nomination.)
Michigan’s top reporter, Amy Sherman, and I on Friday got to know the organizers of the Drive By Fish Fry at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pinckney. In our interview with the organizers, we were impressed with how they made the transition from on-site meals to take-out only, and how they had to find new volunteers to make this year a success.
Look up Amy’s story and our podcast later this week.
How to name
Using the application form, please fill it out completely. This is the best way to make sure your favorite place is on one of our regional surveys. Voting begins on Tuesday.
