Pump maker loses bid to appeal Roche’s UK patent

Law360, London (July 22, 2021, 5:10 p.m. BST) – A London judge on Thursday denied medical device maker Insulet permission to appeal a ruling that pharmaceutical giant Roche did not prematurely start selling pumps tubeless insulin before patent expires.

Pat Treacy, serving as a High Court judge, concluded that Insulet had no real chance of overturning its previous ruling freeing Roche from patent infringement claims on its line of insulin pumps.
