The indie-electro band Roost.World is back in the club. The Burlington-based band is bringing their chaotic mix of synth-pop and DIY punk energy to Club Metronome this Saturday, September 25. The show is a true showcase for independent music, featuring expats from Burlington Pons, New Haven, Connecticut, punk rockers Them Airs, Guy Ferrari from Brattleboro and DJ Metaspirit.
Roost.World – formerly known as Roost before frontman Zack Shuster changed the name to avoid confusion with other acts – made headlines for the evening. The last EP of the group, Cheapbabyy27, was a fast punk dance explosion full of energy and spirit.
Eric Maier (Madaila, EVNGwear) produced the EP.
“Even though they keep changing their names, Roost.World is one of my favorite bands in Burlington,” Maier said. “Very few artists approach their profession with as much commitment as Zack Schuster.”
The Future Fields producer, who uses neutral pronouns, considers himself one of the early adopters of the group, calling Roost.World a “stoner genius.”
Now based in Brooklyn, the punk dance group Pons have just released their own EP, The domain of Pons. Their homecoming highlights what promises to be a night of chaotic and energetic indie rock.
Doors open at 9 p.m. and tickets can be purchased here.
