Mark: SNS x New Balance
Editor’s Notes: Okay, I’ve definitely lost count of all of the general and collaborative releases of New Balance that have come out this year. I’m not complaining about the frequency in any way because there hasn’t been a shortage of firecrackers.
A natural entry point into the world New Balance looks like the 990x series, whether it’s the 990v3 or the 993. Not only are these the most recognizable silhouettes in the brand’s lineup, but they also come delivered. with some of the strongest colorways thanks to carefully selected partners who have shown them love.
Personal favorites include the Aimé Leon Dore and Todd Snyder collaborations, but there are plenty of other great choices.
Sometimes keeping it classic, clean, and minimal is just what we need from the sneaker industry. Collaborations, especially those involving multiple brands, can sometimes be overkill.
Sneakersnstuff (SNS) ‘s latest team with NB is anything but overkill. Unlike the majority of drops this year, the M574 was chosen as the base silhouette.
Created to celebrate the duo’s past creative endeavors, the M574 features premium constructions comprised of green, purple and tan pork nubuck, supple synthetic leather and a nylon lining.
The fall-ready coloring reminds me of the orange suede version of Stone Island on the New Balance 577 in 2013 – a stark contrast to their conflicted 2021 collaboration on the RC ELITE_SI.
